Worst Damage you have ever seen?

So im sure many of you have seen some interesting things with computers as you worked on them, this is a place to share stories of the carnage you have seen inside of a computer.

Ill start with a personal story, about a year ago I came home to this.

While I had been gone a fly had gotten sucked in one of my 3000RPM fans I used for overclocking runs, and then somehow thrown into my PSU, which caused massive carnage destroying my motherboard, PSU, and Soundcard(It took the brunt of the damage it took so much heat the processor unsoldered itself )

You really think a fly did all of this?

I wouldn't have believed it but the company sent me photos of the internals, and I found other burnt flies in my system. So I guess the company could have lied to me, but I doubt it.

It's possible. When a bug touches a circuit and immediately makes a short it can damage some parts. It won't last too much being conductive but maybe enough for damaging some HW.
That's why we use the very common "bug" word when a problem shows in the PC, but now we attribute it for everything computer related.

Worst thing I've seen here is that flies enter trough the LED fans and get smashed right away. Luckily, they haven't damaged anything yet.

Even worse it appears the overvoltage protection never kicked in, and the only thing keep my system from taking worse damage was the fact that my UPS tripped

If that wasn't a fly, I'm a little scared to own an OCZ StealthXStream now...

Nah your good, it was a fly, I found other burnt bodies inside my case, and they even replaced the PSU, and said had they been at fault they would have replaced everything
