Wondering if this will work...upgrading my PC!

I have a Compaq Presario SR2175X desktop with a RC415ST-HM (Alhena5) Motherboard. Now the motherboard has a PCI-E 1.0A X16 graphics slot. Now is there any possibility that I can upgrade a video card that requires a 2.0 PCI-E slot into the computer? I know I would need to change the PSU in order to run it. But I would like to know if there's a possibility of changing it.

I am wanting to add this:

I read that 2.0 was backwards compatible with 1.0 models. So I'm hoping that this is the case!
