markklebs mods (MKMods)
Glad to see you keeping busy Olin...

I have been busy working on re-designing cases. It bugs me how the cases we are forced to buy now are basically the same design that housed 386/486 hardware.
I started with SFF cases that use ATX mobos and any combo of GPUS. My first was a plastic version (untill I realized plastic was not the best material for a case (retains heat MUCH more than Alum/Steel) It did look cool though

Here is the reason for the lack of visible wiring

here are a few more
I built a perforated steel version

Than I thought I would make a Carbonfiber and Alum case

Here are a couple Tower mods
The first one is a $19 Rosewill case. My idea was to show how much cooling could be improved with a few basic mods

First thing was to improve the fans/airflow

(this is just a basic throwing in of hardware with the case as sold)

Here is my idea of improved airflow

Yes, Mark is amazing with his craftsmanship skills. I have often compared case mods and custom construction to my work as a review: we work our asses off, and people never quite appreciate the effort... making it only really valuable to a select few. Just a thought that I wanted to share.

Well put, although there may be a few we reach its worth it.

Quality not Quantity.

Good job on those cases man keep up the excellent modding

2 questions for you tho, Where do you purchase ur vinyl if u can tell, and what case is that with the amazing wiremanagment u posted

P.S. Post #4

when you say vinyl do you mean the plastic? I get it at a local plastic place.
(lol, apparently Olin services their comps)

the case in #4 is a Rosewill I modded to show a $19 case could work better than a $300 one with a bit of thought.
