Has the Site been loading rather slowly lately?
It may just be on my end, but I've noticed that BmR has been loading painfully slowly lately. I did a router/modem reset and tried on a couple of computers to see if it was just me, but it still takes almost a minute to load a page.
Is anyone else finding the site to be a bit sluggish, or should I keep exploring network problems on my end?

You've got my attention. Yesterday our server fended-off several attacks, and last night I worked on the firewall. Oddly enough, but after I created new firewall rules the site seemed much faster.
As of right now, the site seems fairly quick with the page loads.

No problems here, either at home or work.

Hm... must be on my end, then. I've been having some problems with my connection randomly stopping and requiring me to restart the modem and router. Oh well.
Also, you just changed the firewall yesterday? If so, then that wouldn't be the cause, I wouldn't think, since the site's been slow for me for a week or so now.

Hm. After a few days, I tried restarting the modem and router, direct connected to the modem, and did an ipconfig release and renew, and the site's loading quickly. Looks like it may be my router. Not like I really needed another reason to get a new one...

Routers are notorious for this sort of problem, especially older D-Link and Linksys routers.
On a different note, I could understand it if the site was slow over the past two days... we've had numerous hack attempts.

No, it's been longer than two days, so it's not that. I'm not really sure what was going on, though. I tried restarting the modem and router before and it was still extremely sluggish. Oh well. I've liked my WRT54G2 up until this point, but I guess it's time for the upgrade to Gigabit LAN and 802.11n. Any opinions on the D-Link DIR-655?

A BmR recommendation is pretty much all it takes to convince me a product is worth buying, so this may end up being what I get. A couple of questions, though.
One: Is it of absolute importance I get a 5GHz router and skip this one? Is the difference just a less-used band for less interference, or is there more?
Two: Did you ever figure out what the 'Future Use' port on page 4 was?
