With the 1.1.1 iPhone update, Steve Jobs' fruity minions have 'taken care' of those pesky unlocks that have enabled users to use other providers other than AT&T. Unfortunately, the update did more than that as it has also temporary disabled the use of third-party software used to enhance the device's functionality. For these 'treats' one member of the Apple forums has started a discussion about a possible lawsuit against the iPod (and iPhone) maker.
It seems that at least three class actions can be triggered by Apple's actions, all of them being related to company's very restrictive policy. To add to the memorandum, the poster has encouraged iPhone users affected by Apple's business practices to send emails describing their problems. Of course, the post has been deleted but the new fight is just beginning and it remains to be seen whether it will lead to a new lawsuit.
