Hi all new here and could do with some help.

I am building a i5 system and getting the a Megahalem on a i5 and using mx-3 paste, I was woundering what is the best way to appliy the paste a small pea or a small line through the 4 cores.

I am using a gentle typhone 1450rpm fan to and going to fit it to a asus pd55ad

I have herd this paste is the best out of the lot to and is it easy to appliy as this hs has a gear flat smooth base.

Any tips would be greatfull

thanks

Here's an article (http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=1) Olin wrote a while back describing the best methods for applying thermal compound, which should be what you're looking before. He also wrote an article (http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=150&Itemid=62) on the best performing thermal compounds (as well as almost 100 others).

Read this: Thermal Paste Application on Square-base Coolers (http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=170&Itemid=1&limit=1&limitstart=4)

Actually go through the different options.
